Covid Guidance for Guests attending the Westminster Abbey Carol Service

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Westminster Abbey.

In order to keep our guests as safe as possible and limit the spread of COVID-19, you must complete a lateral flow test on the day of the event (8th December), even if you are fully vaccinated. You will need to submit your negative result to www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result and opt to be sent a confirmation text or email, which you must present on the day to gain entry.

Westminster Abbey is a well-ventilated venue and the capacity for the service has been appropriately reduced to minimise risk. Masks and face coverings are not obligatory, but are strongly encouraged when moving around the Abbey. Please note that we are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 circumstances and additional measures may need to be put in place on the day.

By attending this event, you are confirming that you are not experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19; you are not required to self-isolate for travel or local government close contact requirements; you are not currently awaiting test results for COVID-19, and you have not travelled to a red list country in the last 10 days.

This page will be updated with the latest advice and guidance.
